Craig Woolston serves as a vice president of engineering and chief engineer for a major program within the Strike portfolio of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautical Systems Sector, a premier provider of manned and unmanned aircraft and advanced technologies critical to our nation’s security

In this role, Woolston is the key technical voice for the program, assuring the design is optimized to best meet all of the challenging technical performance and cost requirements with a well-understood level of risk.

In his prior role as the San Diego Autonomous Design Center leader Craig was responsible for insuring all elements of the Center of Excellence are integrated. This organizational construct firmly places the responsibility, accountability and authority for performance with the local leadership, better positioning our teams to perform technical reviews, satisfy local staffing needs, and provide support to our programs.

Previously, Craig was Vice President and Program Manager of Advance Technology Demonstration Center (ATDC), within Strategic Systems Division of the Aerospace Sector. Since 2005, he has held various positions, including systems engineering, proposal development, deputy chief engineer, Chief Architect and Deputy Program Manager of Advance Technology Demonstration Center (ATDC).

Mr. Woolston has twenty five years of experience in the aerospace industry. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman in 2005, he has held multiple positions at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. Craig is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautics Engineering and minor in Computer Science. Mr. Woolston received a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.
