Mr. Michael Huggins currently serves as the Chief Engineer and Technical Engineering Authority for the Aerospace Systems Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB. He is responsible for providing technical counsel to the Director on systems engineering and programmatic matters. He leads “systems of systems” concept developments across the Directorate divisions and outside agencies for various air and space platforms. His technical portfolio responsibilities range from manned and unmanned aircraft structure, power, and controls to aircraft, missile, and rocket propulsion systems. He serves as Directorate focal point for International Partner engineering collaborations.

Mr. Huggins entered DoD Civil Service in 1987 after employment as an Aerospace
Engineer for Rockwell International. He has served as Research Site Director and also
directed the Rocket Propulsion Division, the Space and Missiles Propulsion Division, the
Advanced Concepts Division and the Space Technology Plans Division for the Air Force
Research Laboratory. He served as Director of the Propulsion Business Resources
Division for the AF Phillips Laboratory.
