Dr. Ray Kolonay – Received his Ph.D. from the department Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University. He has over thirty years’ experience in the development, use, and support of computational analysis and automated design methods and tools for aerospace vehicles. Currently he serves as the Acting Chief Scientist for the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL) Aerospace Systems Directorate. His normal duties are the Director of the Multidisciplinary Science & Technology Center within the Directorate. Prior to this Dr. Kolonay held a position at the General Electric Company Corporate Research and
Development Center where he developed design methods for various mechanical systems. Dr. Kolonay is an ASME Fellow, AFRL Fellow, and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the recipient of the AIAA 2020 MDAO Award.
