Stevan Spremo currently serves as the NASA Lead Systems Engineer for the Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration (EPFD) Project, which aims to flight test aircraft megawatt-class powertrain systems. In this role, he supports the EPFD project office in leading EPFD as they continue the project formulation process. In recent years, Stevan has served in the Ames Office of the Chief Engineer as a Subject Matter Expert for Spaceflight Systems Engineering. In this role, he has regularly been called upon to provide independent technical evaluation for various NASA Project Life Cycle Review Boards and NASA Mishap Investigations. Stevan serves on the Low Boom Flight Demonstrator Project Review Team to provide ongoing lifecycle review assessments that inform the LBFD Independent Review Board and NASA ARMD. Since beginning his NASA career, Stevan’s engineering design and leadership roles have involved Space Shuttle Payloads, International Space Station Payloads, the LADEE Lunar Spacecraft, USAF-NASA X-37B collaborative efforts, and multiple NASA CubeSat biological spacecraft.

Other achievements include numerous publications, 4 awarded US patents, and 4 pending US patents. He has received numerous NASA Agency Level Awards. Most notably the NASA Agency 2014 Systems Engineering Excellence Award for his LADEE Mission contributions and the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal for his work on NASA’s First 6U Biological CubeSat named EcAMSat. Stevan has a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Degree from San Jose State University and a Master of Science Aeronautics and Astronautics Degree from Stanford University.
