Forum 360: NASA Aeronautics Shaping the New Era of Aviation 16 June 2020 0930 - 1130

Recent technology advances are coming together to enable breakthroughs in the speed and efficiency of transport aircraft and open new markets for smaller aircraft, from unmanned aircraft systems to new modes of passenger and cargo transport.

NASA Aeronautics 2020 strategic implementation plan lays out an approach to address growing demand for global air mobility, the major challenges of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, and the opportunity for convergence between traditional aeronautical disciplines and technology advances in information, communications, energy and other rapidly evolving technologies.

Senior leaders from NASA Aeronautics will discuss strategic directions for sustainable growth in subsonic transports, the safe and efficient emergence of new small aircraft markets, the reemergence of the supersonic transport market, and the fully integrated airspace system in which they must co-exist.
