Providing students virtual, purpose-driven education is more important today than ever before. Celebrating 15 years of designing a sustainable future,a the Conrad Challenge offers a unique opportunity to a global community of students to collaborate and innovate together virtually. They become entrepreneurial problem-solvers, addressing challenging social, scientific and societal issues through utilizing their creativity and critical-thinking skills. The 2020-2021 competition is open to student teams (2-5 members, age 13-18) to register and submit their investor pitches by November 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Teams who have advanced to Round Two will be notified and will be invited to continue developing their product/services, culminating in the final round, the Innovation Summit. During the Innovation Summit, teams compete for the opportunity to be recognized as Pete Conrad Scholars, in addition to anticipated awards from sponsors that include investment opportunities, patent support, business services and scholarships to support the growth of their solutions into a real business.
This annual challenge gives students from around the world the chance to become entrepreneurs and apply innovation, science and technology to solve problems with global impact. Guided by teachers and industry experts, the competition becomes a master class in collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication. The result: students develop skills needed to thrive in the 21st century workforce and bring to life commercially-viable, sustainable innovations that have the potential to change life for the better on the individual, national and global levels.
