Higher Orbits Program

The AIAA Foundation and Higher Orbits are over the moon to be partnering for the AIAA Apollo Series of Go For Launch! to be held across the country in all six U.S. AIAA regions. This program is designed to appeal to ALL students – those who are already very interested in STEM and those who might not yet be very engaged.

AIAA Apollo Series

Higher Orbits Go For Launch

As part of the celebration of the Apollo program, AIAA has teamed up with Higher Orbits, once again, to bring even more students interested in space a unique and memorable experience through Go For Launch! This hands-on multiday program sparks imagination and expands leadership, teamwork, and problem solving skills through science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM).

Students in grades 8-12 are immersed in the wonder of human spaceflight through a variety of discussions and activities with experts in the field such as, astronauts, former International Space Station (ISS) and Space Shuttle flight controllers, astronaut instructors, scientists, and engineers. Teams will compete to have their experiment launched to the International Space Station in 2020.
