Informative Webinar from the American National Standards Institute Written 2 July 2013

Standards in the industry provide many benefits including economies of scale, expanded trade possibilities, and increased resource flow. From new project proposal to publication, AIAA, as accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), adheres to procedures that facilitate adoption of its standards by agencies and industry as well as serve as the basis for international standards. AIAA manages a wide range of national aerospace standards publications and activities, and supports the continued enhancement of aerospace industry-wide efficiency and productivity.

If you’re curious about what is an American National Standard, ANSI is hosting a free, informative webinar on July 17 at 1:30 p.m. ET. It will provide a basic overview of the ANS process, ANSI’s role, the role of 228 ANSI-Accredited Standards Developers (of which AIAA is one), and how stakeholders can participate in the consensus standards development process.

This webinar is appropriate for consumer, industry, government, academics, standards users, standards developers, and anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of the consensus process. Advance registration is required.
