2014 AIAA Aerospace Spotlight Awards Gala to Confer Multiple Honors Written 14 April 2014

In addition to the AIAA 2014 Reed Aeronautics Award and the AIAA 2014 Goddard Astronautics Award, the 2014 AIAA Aerospace Spotlight Awards Gala, taking place 30 April at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, will also confer the following honors:

Dr. Michael I. Yarymovych to Receive AIAA 2014 Distinguished Service Award
Honored for 60 years of Service to IAS, ARS, and AIAA
Michael I. Yarymovych, AIAA Honorary Fellow, former AIAA President, and president, and chief executive officer of Sarasota Space Associates, Osprey, Fla., has won the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics’ (AIAA) 2014 Distinguished Service Award. Yarymovych will receive the award on April 30, during the AIAA Aerospace Spotlight Awards Gala at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, in Washington, D.C.

Kathie L. Olsen to Receive AIAA 2014 Public Service Award
Honored for Personal and Professional Commitment to the Advancement of Science
Kathie L. Olsen, founder, ScienceWorks, Inc., Washington, D.C., and affiliate professor of neurosciences at the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study, George Mason University, Fairfax, Va., has won the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics’ (AIAA) 2014 Public Service Award. Olsen will receive the award on April 30, as part of the AIAA Aerospace Spotlight Awards Gala at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, in Washington, D.C.
