Tau Beta Pi Presents Three AIAA Student Members With Scholarship Awards Written 5 August 2015

Tau Beta Pi has named three AIAA student members as Tau Beta Pi Scholars. Each student has received a cash award to help them with the costs of their senior year of undergraduate studies.

Tau Beta Pi received 804 scholarship applications this year, and selected 258 applicants for awards. Among the criteria used for selection of the winners were their scholarship, campus leadership, service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession.

Tau Beta Pi is the engineering Honor Society, founded at Lehigh University in 1885. It has collegiate chapters at 244 engineering colleges in the United States and active alumni chapters in 41 cities. It has initiated more than 564,000 members in its 130-year history and is the world’s largest engineering society.

The winners are:

Kevontrez K. Jones Wichita State University Wichita, Kansas $2,000 Leroy W. Record Scholarship	Andrew D. Orme Brigham Young University Provo, Utah $2,000 Vincent A. Stabile Scholarship	Spencer G. Watza Western Michigan University Kalamazoo, Michigan $1,000 Leroy W. Record Scholarship
