Three AIAA Members Named Presidential Early Career Award Winners
March 8, 2016 – Reston, Va. – Three members of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) are among the 105 researchers who were named as winners of the Presidential Early Career Awards by President Barack Obama.
“AIAA congratulates these three individuals on their selection as Presidential Early Career Award winners,” said Sandy Magnus, AIAA executive director. “Each of them has distinguished themselves and the aerospace community through their insight, vision and hard work. We look forward to seeing how they will continue to shape the future of aerospace.”
The awardees are:
- Anya Jones, University of Maryland, College Park
- Timothy Ombrello, Air Force Research Laboratory
- Vikram Shyam, NASA Glenn Research Center
