AIAA Statement on Marion Blakey's Departure From the Aerospsace Industries Association

February 25, 2015 – Reston, Va. –The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Executive Director Sandra H. Magnus released the following statement congratulating Marion Blakey on her seven-year tenure as president and chief executive officer of the Aerospace Industries Association and her new role as president and CEO of Rolls-Royce North America.

“The members and staff of AIAA thank Marion Blakey for her many years of service to the aerospace industry thus far—first as chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board, then as administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, and most recently as president and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association. Throughout so much of her career, Marion has been a leader focused on improving the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the nation’s aviation system and strengthening the aerospace industry. AIAA looks forward to working with her in her new role as president and CEO of Rolls-Royce North America, where she will continue to help shape the future of aerospace.”
