Aviation Week reports that across the globe, “more than 100 orbital launches took place in 2018, the highest rate in two decades.” China, “flying from Xichang, Jiuquan and Taiyuan, led the way,” followed by US companies at Cape Canaveral, Vandenberg AFB, Kennedy Space Center, Wallops Island, “and a privately owned spaceport in New Zealand.” Russia ranked third for rocket launches in the year.
