Spaceport Development Plans Detailed By Official Written 15 October 2019

Space News reports that during “an Oct. 10 presentation at the International Symposium for Personal and Commercial Spaceflight (ISPCS),” former FAA Associate Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation George Nield indicated that “the government should create a policy that promotes the development of spaceports as not just launch sites but also as hubs for economic development.” Nield “took issue with the conventional wisdom that there is an oversupply of commercial spaceports in the United States,” as “some in government and industry have questioned if there are too many.” Said Nield, “I strongly disagree with that assessment.” (Image: "The Gateway" terminal at Spaceport America | Wikipedia)
