Aviation Week reports that “the search for and processing of resources such as water ice and oxygen as well as scientific discovery are quickly emerging as key drivers in NASA’s accelerated human return to the Moon’s surface in 2024 and preparation for Mars, according to agency officials involved in the planning.” NASA officials “involved in the planning” of NASA’s Artemis program confirmed the “two themes” when they “spoke to the annual gathering of the Lunar Exploration Analysis Group (LEAG) underway this week in Washington,” D.C.
