DHS Warns Private Industry Not To Use Foreign-Made UAS Written 10 December 2019

Aviation Today reports that DHS cybersecurity officials “continue to warn US companies about the dangers of using [UAS] designed or manufactured abroad, according to a sensitive document distributed to private industry by the FBI’s Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency on November 20.” The private industry bulletin “warns companies that they risk the exposure of private data when operating UAS ‘designed, manufactured, or supplied abroad where the data is stored, transferred to, or accessible by servers in a foreign country,’ according to a copy of the bulletin obtained by Avionics International.”
