The Wall Street Journal reports that according to people familiar with the matter, The Boeing Company is considering either suspending or cutting back on the production of its 737 Max. Company management reportedly believes that temporarily halting production is the most viable among a variety of difficult options. A production cut would cause an inflation in costs, impact Boeing’s financial results, and potentially trigger global furloughs and job cuts.
