  • Awareness:  The United States is prized for its open investment environment and economic dynamism, but not all investment is sound.  Companies in the United States defense industrial base can be vulnerable to capital from foreign adversaries seeking a technological advantage, especially during moments of economic uncertainty.
  • Education:  There are a number of protective measures that the United States uses to guard against adversarial foreign investment.  Among those is the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), which was recently strengthened.
  • Tools:  While the threats are real, there are opportunities to take advantage of tools that can help industries.  Among them are the Trusted Capital events, which builds an ecosystem where trusted capital providers and domestic companies can engage to explore mutually beneficial business partnerships, focused on national security requirements.

Featured Speakers:

Mr. Andrew Pahutski, Director, Global Markets & Investments, Department of Defense

Mr. David Stapleton, Director, Trusted Capital, Department of Defense
