Army, Navy Satellite Operating Units Transferred to Space Force Written 22 September 2021

Space News reports that US Space Force Chief of Space Operations John “Jay” Raymond said Tuesday US Army and Navy units operating communications satellites will be transferred to the US Space Force next month. The transfers “were approved earlier this year when the Pentagon submitted its budget request for fiscal year 2022.” Eleven Army and four Navy organizations, with a total of 319 military and 259 civilian personnel, will be transferred to the US Space Force.
