This year’s theme, “Challenging Times, Unique Opportunities,” gives us the opportunity to reset expectations, redefine roles, and accelerate change. Join us as we set the stage for the future and explore the next golden age of aviation.

WHEN: 27 June–1 July 2022

WHERE: Hilton Chicago. With in-person attendance, you’ll also receive full online access to the 2022 AIAA AVIATION Forum event platform.

WHAT: Overall theme: “Challenging Times, Unique Opportunities.” Daily themes: State of the Industry (27 June); Addressing Supply Chain Challenges (28 June); Engineering for Safety (29 June); Environmental Sustainability (30 June); Future of the Industry (1 July).

The five-day forum program will feature over 1,000 technical presentations and an extensive lineup of aviation leaders and innovators as speakers, panelists, and presenters. The technical program will include presentations and papers on the latest innovations spanning 20+ aviation and aeronautics research topics, including fluid dynamics, applied aerodynamics, air transportation systems, thermophysics and heat transfer, multidisciplinary design optimization, and many s topics.

More than 25 companies and organizations will be on display in the Exposition Hall on 28–30 June. In addition, attendees can hear more on industry trends and compelling research in the heart of the Exposition Hall at the Innovation Stage @ the HUB. From digital aerospace and cybersecurity, to sustainability, to advanced air mobility, these short talks and interviews will be unique experiences that give attendees even more insight.

HEALTH and SAFETY: AIAA continues to prioritize attendee health and safety as we return to in-person events. After careful consideration, we have decided to keep our existing guidelines in place for the 2022 AIAA AVIATION Forum. Please note that the requirements can change at any time, and we will communicate them to all registered participants.
