Jim Gibson is an Experimental Test Pilot with Bell's Innovation group. His specific responsibilities within the Innovation group include lead test pilot for the Bell Nexus urban air tax and technical lead for both Simplified Vehicle Operations and Unmanned Aircraft Systems Traffic Management.
Prior to joining Bell in November 2017, he retired from the United States Marine Corps. During his USMC career, he served as a KC-130 pilot, forward air controller, V-22 government flight test director, and commanding officer of the V-22 training squadron.
His education includes a BS in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech, a MoE in Industrial and Systems Engineering from North Carolina State University, a graduate of the United States Naval Test Pilot School, and a PhD in Systems and Engineering Management from Texas Tech University.
