Take part in AIAA’s Regional Student Conference by presenting your research in a formal technical meeting, exchange ideas, and discuss programs with students from other universities in your region.
Please note: A university student in good standing at their institution who is also an AIAA student member is eligible to submit a paper to the Regional Student Conference. The submitting and presenting author(s) must be AIAA student members. Any student may attend the Regional Student Conference but may be subjected to a higher registration fee if they are not AIAA members. You must be attending a college/university in Region V to participate in the Region V Student Conference.
Region V includes Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. Additionally, it includes the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
Cash prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place winners for each category. First-place regional winners are then invited to participate in the AIAA Foundation International Student Conference, held during the AIAA SciTech Forum each January.
Registration Fee: $50
Registration is now closed.
Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. We require all cancellations to occur by 7 April 2023. Any cancellations after this date will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

0800–0900 hrs: Registration, Breakfast, & Welcome
0900–1200 hrs: Student Paper Presentations
1200–1300 hrs: Lunch and Panel
1300–1700 hrs: Student Paper Presentations
1700–1830 hrs: Catered BBQ Dinner
1830–2030 hrs: UMKC Lab Tours and Flight Simulation Showdown
Saturday, 22 April
0800–0830 hrs: Breakfast & Morning Briefing
0830–1200 hrs: Paper Presentation
1200–1300 hrs: Lunch
1330–1630 hrs: Kansas City Airport Day
1830–2030 hrs: Awards Banquet
