Anthony Smith is an Associate Fellow for Flight Controls and Autonomy with Lockheed Martin Sikorsky. Anthony leads a portfolio of production vehicle autonomy projects including for LM Sikorsky’s Future Vertical Lift offerings and autonomy-equipped commercial aircraft. He is also Sikorsky’s lead engineer for deployment of Model-Based Systems Engineering methods to qualify autonomy-enabled products for safety-critical operator use. 

Previously, Anthony served as the lead flight controls engineer for the Sikorsky S-97 Raider™ and for Sikorsky’s autonomy-enabled commercial projects. Before these lead roles, he was a core member of the flight controls teams for the Sikorsky Autonomy Research Aircraft (SARA), CH-53K, and UH-60M Upgrade projects.

Anthony graduated with high distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the University of Connecticut with a Master of Business Administration, and from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Computer Science, focusing on Machine Learning.
