DARPA Has Issued Contracts to Three Teams to Develop Aircraft Based On Active Flow Control

IHS Jane’s 360 reports that DARPA “has issued contracts to three industry teams to develop experimental aircraft (X-plane) based on active flow control” under the Control of Revolutionary Aircraft with Novel Effectors (CRANE) program. The three are Aurora Flight Sciences, Lockheed Martin, and Georgia Tech Research Corporation.
