CNN reports that “Tropical Storm Ian threatens another blow to air travel as it moves up the East Coast and away from the Florida panhandle, where airports are assessing conditions and determining when service can safely resume.” Jacksonville International Airport will open Friday morning, with the TSA checkpoint opening at 7 a.m. Orlando International Airport said Thursday that damage inspections were underway but did not give specifics. Melbourne Orlando International Airport plans to open at 6 a.m. on Friday. Tampa International Airport will reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday. Sarasota Bradenton International Airport anticipates opening by late Friday. St. Pete-Clearwater International plans to reopen Friday morning. Key West International Airport reopened at 7 a.m. on Thursday.
