Gulfstream to End Production of G550 Aircraft Written 18 June 2020

FlightGlobal reports that Gulfstream “is halting production of the G550, ending a 17-year run for the long-range business jet.” In a statement made on Wednesday, the US airframer “says it has sold the final commercially available unit, which will be delivered to its owner in 2021.” Cirium “fleets data records 50 shipments in 2011 at [the aircraft’s] market peak, falling to 14 units in 2016 and 2017, 17 aircraft in 2018 and 24 examples last year. Between January and March, Cirium lists four G550 deliveries.”
