General Atomics Updates MQ-9A Reaper UAV Written 26 June 2020

FlightGlobal reports that General Atomics Aeronautical Systems “has demonstrated three new automatic take-off and landing capabilities for its” MQ-9A Reaper UAV. The updates are a part of a contract with the US Air Force, and allow the UAV “to divert to another airfield, fly in stronger crosswinds and land with greater maximum weight, the company says on 25 June.” General Atomics President David Alexander said, “These upgrades will improve mission-effectiveness tremendously.”
