The Hill reports that statistics released by the Transportation Security Administration show that air travel over the July 4 weekend fell by 73 percent compared to last year. Air travel “has somewhat bounced back” since the peak of the pandemic, but it “still remains a shadow of prepandemic numbers and has forced the industry to shed tens of thousands of jobs.”
