The Daily Mail (UK) reported that passengers arriving at Heathrow could take air taxis from the airport “to cities in the south of England for the price of an Uber in just four years’ time.” An air taxi could take passengers from Heathrow to London’s Canary Wharf “in just 13 minutes for around £50 per passenger. A similar journey in an Uber costs £46.” The project “is being masterminded by British firm Vertical Aerospace in partnership with Virgin Atlantic airline and Heathrow.”
