AIAA Gearing Up to Celebrate National Engineers Week 2013
17 to 23 February
As noted by AIAA Executive Director Sandra H. Magnus: “From 17 to 23 February, the nation will celebrate “National Engineers Week,” which highlights engineers, engineering, and the remarkable ways they have transformed our lives. As reflected in this year's theme, we will “Celebrate Awesome!” AIAA headquarters will join in celebrating your awesomeness by raising awareness of the wide-ranging contributions that aerospace engineering brings to society. From GPS systems in our cars, to the modern convenience of commercial flight, to our ability to explore and further understand our universe – without aerospace eingeers, and engineers from a myriad of disciplines who work in the areospace industry, our world world be a different place altogether.” (Pictured: AIAA staff members say “thank you” on the steps of AIAA headquarters, in Reston, VA, in honor of National Engineers Week 2013) Full Story > Letter from AIAA Executive Director Sandra H.
